Rahm Family, Co-Director and Teacher
Joseph and Hailey Rahm have been living and serving at TLC for 5 years. They have three children, Micah, Abigail and Emma. Joseph is the Executive Director (See Board of Directors page) and also teaches the Leadership classes. In addition to being a wife and mother, Hailey has a passion for helping the students grow and mature spiritually, mentally, and as leaders. At any given time, Hailey can be found mentoring students, leading Bible Studies and Church Services, or playing with her children. She is also the primary leader for campus projects and the campus vegetable gardens. Those who know Hailey would describe her as kind, gentle, humble, and compassionate. She is a friend to everyone in need, and has become the one that individuals living on campus go to for advice and comfort.
Karen Ramirez, Student Director
Karen is from San Jose de Comayagua here in Honduras and comes from a family of 9. She was accepted in April 2014 into our program at TLC and graduated with her 2 year degree in February 2016. She then accepted the position of student Director! During her two years as a student, Karen exhibited all the qualities of a great leader. She is a hard worker, and always willing to help anyone in need. She was a great student and a role model in her class. She led the garden team for 9 months and did an amazing job with little assistance! Karen is looked up to in so many ways and we couldn’t be happier to have her as the Director!
Karla Stanley, English Teacher
Karla Stanley is from New Zealand and has also enjoyed traveling and teaching around the world in many different countries. She gained her CELTA certificate in 2014. She has taught ESL in France and in Russia and she comes to TLC with an excitement for helping young women expand the horizon of possibility and capability. She expects that the beauty of Honduras will inspire her to put paint to brush and that Spanish proverbs will soon become part of her vocabulary!
